So, there’s this murder at the Nectarola soft drink factory, see? And Chrys Liszt and her partner, Roachy Caruthers, are just the bugs to handle the job. This pair is a crack investigation team working out of the Insecticide Division in a world that is now run by bugs. The humans in this world? Nothing more than troublesome beings that routinely get caged up by the coppers. Oh, and they sometimes snitch as well.
So anyways, somebody got knocked off at the Nectarola factory and since Nectarola pretty much runs things these days, the mess needs to be cleaned up fast, ya see? But maybe there’s more to it. Maybe it’s really some big conspiracy. The only way to get to the bottom of it is to search out the answers and man, that’s gonna take a lot of dung donuts and coffee to do.
As Chrys, you’ll be tasked with investigating the crime, going wherever the clues may lead you. You’ll be chasing down suspects, having shoot-em-ups, but also piecing together information in the classic adventure game fashion. Insecticide is available on the DS and the PC and is brought to us by Gamecock Media and developer Crackpot Entertainment. Don’t know em? Sure you do, you just don’t know you do. Remember all those classic adventure titles from Lucasarts like Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango and Sam and Max? Yeah, well it’s those guys who formed their own company. So the look, feel and music should all feel very comfortable for fans of those titles.
You’ll have plenty of weapons at your disposal and you’ll meet a very colorful cast of characters along the way as you unravel the mystery. Hey, you can even play good cop/bad cop and who doesn’t like that? Check back soon for our full review as we are working on it right now! |
