Destroy All Humans!: Prepare to be Invaded!
Company: THQ

Destroy All Humans!, Pandemic Studios' latest offering combines all of the things we love in a game. Mayhem, destruction, aliens and a dash of sex. Ok, maybe that's just me. But anyway, to break it down for you, you play the game as Crypto, a trash-talking cloned alien bent on earth's destruction. He's sent to the U.S. to retrieve some viable DNA for the preservation of his planet, Furon. Yes, it makes no sense, but go with it. It will be fully explained in the review coming later this month. :P

You'll start off with a basic weapon, the Zap-O-Matic, along with a few abilities such as PK, the ability to pick things up and move them around, and Cortex Scan, the ability to pull the pathetic humans' thoughts straight from their heads. This comes in handy when you need to gather info to complete a mission. Your saucer also comes standard with a handy, dandy Death Ray for eliminating buildings and military vehicles. Good, clean fun! You'll be able to upgrade your saucer and gain new weapons by slipping the local alien scientist some DNA, which you'll obtain by wrenching the brains from poor, unsuspecting humans.

The game has a decidely retro feel to it, complete with vintage drive-in movie signs, people referencing actors of the 50's and so on. The requisite cowboys, Hollywood types, stupid girls, creepy politician types and Men in Black are all present. Crypto even has the ability to transform into any of these characters as a disguise! Oh, the possibilities...

Probably the most fun has got to be listening to people's thoughts, however. When you use the Anal Probe, another scillintating weapon you'll acquire, one guy was thinking "Think about baseball! Think about baseball! Rock Hudson. NO! Think about baseball!!!" It's hilarious.

Clearly, much love went into the production of Destroy All Humans. Much twisted, sick and clever love. I have only scratched the surface of this game, but check back soon for a full review. From what I have seen so far, this game is a blast.
