Red Dead Redemption: Legends and Killers doesn't introduce any drastically new locations; New Austin and Nuevo Paraiso are still your collective playground. Nothing about Free Roam has changed. However, there are nine new maps for Gang and Free For All Matches, and all of them are fantastic. First up is the urbanized town of Blackwater, where everything in
Red Dead Redemption begins and ends. It's a great place for a shootout; the straight roads and claustrophobic back alleys set up several opportunities for you and your gang to raise hell. Plus, many of the buildings offer superb vantage points for any random guy with a Rolling Block Rifle. Next up is Thieves' Landing. This shantytown straddles a foggy swamp that poses a lethal threat to those who don't stay mindful of their environment. Oh, and there are a number of gatling gun emplacements. Using these guns is sure to light up your enemies' radars, so make sure you've got a contingency plan when you hop on. The best of the new maps is Rio Bravo; a desert location that sports a tiny mountain smack in the center. This mountain is laced with a number of narrow pathways. It's genius, really; Rio Bravo encourages players to be stealthy. Combine that with tomahawk warfare -- this experience alone is worth the asking price of the
Legends and Killers pack.
The "Legends and Killers" in question may very well be the stars of Red Dead Revolver. If you remember a particular character from that game, chances are, you'll find him or her in this package.
