Function: The function behind the WinBattery is very simple. It makes having to buy batteries for your GBA a thing of the past and it makes it very comfortable to hold - especially if your hands cramp up after playing. Since I got my GBA, I have tried more than a few battery devices, and while they have been okay, none of them ever proved themselves to be the ultimate pack for me. Then I used the WinBattery.
Performance: This is hands down the best battery pack I've used. First, the device tightly snaps into the battery compartment and gives about 20-23 hours of battery life (depending what other battery-using devices you have plugged into the GBA). The handles are big and molded to perfectly fit hands, right down to the finger rest grooves in the back. Probably the best part is the three green lights at the bottom of the device that let you know how much juice is left. These three simple lights are something I have been practically begging companies to add to the devices, and I'm glad one finally did it. Recharging the cells is as easy as plugging the included AC adapter into the WinBattery and a wallsocket.

Drawbacks & Problems:: I had only two minor problems with the WinBattery. When the device is attached, it does make the device a little bulky and hard to stow away in a GBA case, but it is so easy to remove and attach, this problem can be easily fixed. I also found that when using the WinBattery with a light device, such as the Light Shield, the power indicator on the GBA would become red. It's not a problem as long as those three green lights are still lit, but it's also something worth mentioning.
