As far as sasquatch movies go, I've reviewed two now over the past couple of years. Assault of the Sasquatch is the latest one being released 10/19/10.

Assault of the Sasquatch opens with some poachers who are hunting bears on a reserve set up to protect them. They sell the bear paws, organs, and other parts to the Chinese as herbal remedies. On this trip though, they find something really special, a sasquatch. The leader, Terry Drake (Kevin Shea) has a buyer already lined up who will pay $1,000,000 for it (apparently he's been keeping an eye out for one for a while), so they stow it in the truck, at the loss of several lives. By this point, old Terry is the only one left alive, but he manages to tranquilize the sasquatch again. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the game wardens overheard their transmissions on the radio. Just as Terry has the beast down for a while, Ryan (Greg Nutcher) and his partner Krystle (Cristina Santiago), arrest Terry and drive the truck with the sasquatch in it back to the city!

Once they get to the police station to turn Terry over, Ryan meets up with his daughter, Jess (Sarah J. Ahearn). Jess is a freshman in college and wants to be independent, but her dad still has her living at home with him. Also at the station is the boss, George Cassesse (Hank Torrance), secretary Amy Steel (Andrea Sáenz), and deputy Jameson (Cuyle Carvin). Amy is truly a fighter. I like her character, even if you don't get to find out much about why she's so awesome. Jameson is in love with Ryan's daughter, Jess. Jess already has a boyfriend though and doesn't want anything to do with him. While all these people are hanging out, the sasquatch has finally woken up and decides that he wants to take a tour of the city.

Murph (M. Kelley) and Don (Shawn C. Phillips) are two total nerds always on the lookout for the strange and unusual. They spy the sasquatch in the city and decide to try and follow him. About this time, another criminal is being booked into the jail, Talon (Alex Exum). He has history with Jess and Ryan as his brother Billy (John Randall) killed Ryan's wife while they were robbing the house. Ryan killed Billy and Talon's out for revenge. Talon isn't easy to keep locked up. Just about the time that he escapes, the sasquatch has had enough of the city and returns to the police station. Jess, Ryan, Amy, Cassesse, Crystal, and Terrence are all now trapped in the police station with a killer and a sasquatch on the loose. To make matters worse, Jess's boyfriend is on the way there to bring her wallet to her. I really laughed at the interactions between the sasquatch and Jess's boyfriend! Murph and Don are still out looking for the sasquatch as well! We also can't forget that the mysterious buyer of the sasquatch is on the way too.

Also on the DVD are some special features. There are Bloopers, but they weren't particularly funny. Murph and Don's Behind the Scenes was a bit boring as well. It's not really a behind the scenes as much as it is a video diary for Don. The "Booty Poppin" Music Video was amusing. Apparently the sasquatch had time to visit a club on his trip to the city. Overall though, they're nothing that really makes you want to buy the DVD to get access to them.

As far as sasquatch movies go, Assault of the Sasquatch is one of the better ones that I've reviewed, but that's not saying much. There isn't much of a plot other than "sasquatch runs loose in an urban area, killing." If you catch it on TV, it's worth sitting through when you're bored. Otherwise though, I'd only recommend buying Assault of the Sasquatch if you collect Big Foot movies.
