Go, Diego, Go!: Diego Saves the World! brings together six different episodes that will feature Diego rescuing animals everywhere from South America to Africa to India.
In one episode, Diego helps to replant the trees where cotton-top tamarin like to live. When the small monkeys go to live in their new home, they realize one of their friends is missing. Diego must travel through the jungle in order to find this lost animal who is hiding deep in a cave.
In "Egyptian Camel Adventure," Diego and one of his friends learn all about how camels can survive in the desert and where they store extra water for those super dry desert crossings. Diego will also help a young Bengal tiger find his mother who said if they ever get separated to meet up at the old wishing tree. Along the way, Diego and the tiger meet several other inhabitants of the Indian woods and they all ask for wishes to be brought to the tree. Once there, not only does the baby tiger get reunited with his mother, but when they tell the tree their wishes, it dances and sings a bit before granting them.
Also in these adventures, Diego will help teach a young hawk who was raised in captivity how to migrate and he will work on saving a baby humpback whale who has been beached on a small, rocky island. When he finally gets to the baby whale, he asks for the viewers' help to call other whales in hopes of creating lots of waves that should cause the baby humpback to flow back out to the ocean where he belongs.
Go, Diego, Go! has been long established as a solid show for young boys that not only teaches a good bit about various animals around the world, but also bits of Spanish as well. Much like Diego's cousin, Dora, these shows are well aimed and do a good job of teaching via repetition to make the knowledge stick. Diego Saves the World! is just a good, all around collection of episodes that most young fans of the character should love to watch over and over again.
