In Cyborg Soldier, there is this super-secret facility where scientists have take a person and added computer parts and mostly nanobots into his bloodstream. The person they chose was of course a prisoner, because we all know they're disposable in movies, especially since he was supposedly already dead. Anyway, as is typical, the super-human escapes from the evil facility. The scientists are shocked because for some reason they didn't think that a human engineered for total survival wouldn't want to get out of the lab, so they send some really bad men with big guns after him.
This super-secret facility is out in the middle of nowhere, so as to not attract attention. This means that the super-human I.S.A.A.C. (Rich Franklin) isn't really going to run into any people to help him. He does run into Deputy Lindsay Reardon (Tiffani Thiessen), though. He takes her gun away from her before she can even blink. She is curious as to who he is and what he's doing out running in the middle of nowhere, so she goes along with him to see if she can maybe help. The first thing he does when they're semi-safe is to remove the bullets from his own body (sound familiar?). There is also a scene with a lost girl in the woods that just reminded me of the original Frankenstein movie. Anyway, the whole point of his escape is to see if he can figure out who he really is, remember who the bad guys are, and take down the super-secret evil organization before they capture him and deputy Reardon.
There really isn't much else to say about Cyborg Soldier. There aren't any special features (other than previews) available on the DVD. If you happen to catch it on TV, it is worth watching. The actors did a good job and the fight scenes are pretty well done too. If you haven't seen Universal Soldier, then I might even recommend buying it. If you have though, it's almost the exact same movie, so I just can't recommend purchasing a duplicate. If you're just dying to see it, go rent it.
