Cover Athletes for FIFA 2011 Revealed |

EA Sports announced their cover athlete for FIFA Soccer 2011 today with Los Angeles Galaxy star Landon Donovan landing the top spot for his third time. As is tradition, Donovan will share the cover with two other fine athletes: Kaka from Real Madrid and Carlos Vela of Arsenal and while this is Donovan's third time in the spotlight, it is just the first for Kaka and Vela.

It's important to know that Donovan was chosen because of his popularity during the World Cup earlier this year. 2010 was the first year Donovan played on a national team and scored three goals across four matches and also earned the Most Valuable Player from Major League Soccer. Donocan also led team USA to a victory over Algeria with a tight 1 - 0 win. Donovan's current record is 5 goals, 11 assists, and 13 games during his stint on the LA Galaxy.

FIFA Soccer 2011 will include many new features like "Personality +" which mimics the behaviors of real life players more accurately. "Pro Passing" will also be implemented for the first time this year which makes passing the ball much more skilled-based for the player which will create more control of the ball on the field.

EA Sports FIFA Soccer 2011 will ship Septemeber 28, 2010 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PC, Nintendo DS, PSP, and iPhone.
