Iron Man 3 Begins Production

Okay, okay... admittedly, I'm jumping the gun here. This is not coming to Blu-ray right now... However, I'm really excited to report that filming for the third Iron Man movie has begun production. Following in the footsteps of the record-breaking Marvel Studios' release Marvel's The Avengers, production on the highly anticipated film Iron Man 3, directed by Shane Black, has commenced production in Wilmington, North Carolina. The production schedule will also include locations in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina, Miami, Florida and China.
Thankfully, Robert Downey Jr. will be reprising his role as Tony Stark / Iron Man. Also reprising their roles will be Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle as James "Rhodey" Rhodes (and, perhaps, as War Machine?) and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. The theatrical release is slated for May 3rd, 2013 in the U.S. and will be the second Marvel feature to be fully owned, marketed and distributed by Disney, which acquired Marvel in 2009.
Iron Man 3 continues the epic, big-screen adventures of the world's favorite billionaire inventor/Super Hero, Tony Stark aka "Iron Man." Marvel Studios' President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive Producers on the project include Jon Favreau, Louis D'Esposito, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, Dan Mintz... and, um... oh, yes... Stan Lee. I will, personally, be anxiously awaiting Iron Man 3's theatrical release and, subsequently, its release on Blu-ray.
