Company: Koei

KOEI, recognized worldwide as the premier brand of strategy and action games, today announced that the Tactical Action game, Samurai Warriors: State of War for PSP, and the naval action game, Warship Gunner 2 for the PlayStation 2 are scheduled for North American release in March 2006.

“For video gamers, this year is going to be the most thrilling year ever, and kicking off 2006 with two great games is just the start,” said Amos Ip, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for KOEI Corporation. “Around the world, KOEI’s development teams are preparing bold new concepts and ideas that will captivate gamers. Today’s announcement is just a small, yet exciting sample of what we have in store for this year.”

About Samurai Warriors: State of War
Set amidst Japan’s most volatile era, Samurai Warriors: State of War give players control of famous samurai and legendary ninja in an ever-unfolding war. Gamers will use classic Japanese weaponry including swords, longbows, and sickles to fight their way through wide-open battlefields and trap-laden castles. Samurai Warriors: State of War comes complete with 19 playable characters, all-new stories, and competitive multiplayer challenge

About Warship Gunner 2
In the sequel to the naval action hit, video gamers will engage in deadly sub-to-sub stealth warfare, pilot classic warships and design their own fleet of destroyers, submarines, and battlecruisers. With KOEI’s strategic twist on naval action, Warship Gunner 2 lets players invest in new technologies to develop a full spectrum of artillery systems, aircraft, ship hulls, propulsion and electronics. Over 1000 vital components in all!

Combat in Warship Gunner 2 takes place across 100 missions and 60 stages teeming with lethal seafighters, swarms of enemy aircraft, and unworldly super-weapons! Using the game’s control panel and advanced heads-up display, players must track their targets through darkness, varying sea states and the most adverse weather conditions known to man.
