Graphics & Sound:
The graphics in Madden NFL 2000 are excellent. They are extremely realistic. When you play, you will think that you are watching a real football game on TV! The sound effects are another highlight of Madden 2000. During all of the pounding hits, you can hear the players grunting and the shoulder pads smashing together. Combine that with the realistic commentary and the game's sound is awesome.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is another high point to Madden 2000. You can control your team during every play, or you can let the computer do it for you. Tackling is fantastic. Sometimes you can hit players and their helmets fly off!! You can also create your playbook to suit to your likings. There are two different kinds of gameplay - standard and one button. One button is easier to use, as you only have one button to worry about, obviously.

Difficulty:
The difficulty level of Madden 2000 is just right. It is probably the best part about the game. No matter what level you play on, it will always be challenging. The levels of difficulty are Rookie, Pro, All Pro and All Madden. If you are playing the game for the first time, I strongly suggest putting it on Rookie.

Game Mechanics:
There are five different game modes in Madden NFL 2000: Exhibition, Season, Franchise, Tournament, and Practice. In an Exhibition game, you and your opponent battle it out for the victory. A Season is when you and your selected team try for the opportunity to play in the Super Bowl and win. During a Season, you can trade, sign, release, and create players to help your team go all the way. Franchise mode is similar to the Season mode, but you create your coaching staff. Tournament is a good choice if you have a lot of players. Last but not least is Practice, which is a lifesaver for you if you are playing the game for the first time. All in all, Madden 2000 is the best football game of the year, without a doubt!
